One of the great islands
of the Philippines is the island of BOHOL. It is located southwest of the
country's capital, Manila. Bohol is another ten largest island of the country,
lying in the middle of the Visayas. It is surrounded by other islands on all
sides so it is usually covered from harmful storm in the region as well as from
the heavy rain during the rainy season.
Bohol is replete with wonderful activities and sights for visitors. Often tourists
are having a hard time choosing what to do first.
The people living here on the island are hospitable
so they do not bear the feeling to be
at home here.
Perhaps the most famous lure
tourists here in Bohol
are the CHOCOLATE HILLS. It consists of more than
approximately 1268 hills. They are very
uniform in shape and mostly between 30 and 50 meters tall. They are covered in grass, which at the end of the drought period,
becoming brown color like chocolate. From this color, derived their names.
Bohol is also known as found
here is the smallest monkey in the world, the TARSIER.
During

SITE. This particular site has
been created to honor an important event in the Philippine
history, the first treaty of friendship between
Miguel Lopez de
Legazpi of Spain and
Raha Sikatuna of
Bohol. This is an
agreement of friendship based on respect and
equality. This event is commonly
known as "SANDUGO".
Included
in the list of the tour is the BACLAYON CHURCH. This is one of the oldest stone church in
the history of the Philippines. It
is an interesting place if you want to learn
something about the early history of the Philippines especially during the work
of Spanish. It
was built during the Spanish
occupation of the first Spanish missionaries
living in the area in the late 15th century.
Other beautiful spots are Hinagdanan Cave, Punta Cruz Tower, Mag-aso Falls, Loboc River, Sipatan Hanging Bridge, Man-made forest, Sagbayan Peak, Badiang Spring and the beautiful white sand beaches.
